At long last, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games are finally ready to begin.
The Olympic Games will be held from July 23 to August 8, 2021 with 33 sports and 339 events in 42 competition venues. The Paralympic Games will be held from August 24 to September 5, 2021 with 22 sports and 539 events in 21 competition venues.

The cycling road race, cycling mountain bike and cycling track events will be held in Shizuoka Prefecture at the Izu Velodrome, the Izu MTB Course and the Fuji International Speedway (BMX will be held in Ariake, Tokyo).
The three municipalities of Gotemba City, Susono City and Oyama Town make up part of the road race course, offering a spectacular finale at the last stage of the race.

The city volunteers helping out around stations near competition venues and other relevant places are known as the “City Cast Shizuoka.” Around 900 people are expected to participate in Shizuoka Prefecture.
